Following the release of the critically acclaimed album track ‘Electron’, house music pioneer Larry Heard has unveiled another taste of new music from his legendary Mr. Fingers project, ‘Full Moon’. Taken from the first Mr. Fingers album in nearly 25 years ‘Cerebral Hemispheres’, ‘Full Moon’ is a marked change in the sound from the aforementioned ‘Electron’, trading in eyes-down dancefloor intensity for a groove-laden Balearic atmospheres.

Opening the album, ‘Full Moon’ is a flawless introduction to ‘Cerebral Hemispheres’’ eclecticism, providing the ideal backdrop to dusk-filled evenings. Riding along a steady pulse thanks to a trademark bassline from Heard, Mr. Fingers embellishes the masterfully restrained instrumental with his own vocal – adding to the haze filled atmospherics of the track alongside expertly placed piano trills, and heavily reverberated saxophones. As the perfect foil to ‘Electron’’s dizzying electronics, ‘Full Moon’ exemplifies the multi-faceted nature of ‘Cerebral Hemispheres’ and indeed, a masterclass in production from Larry Heard, adding to his already formidably comprehensive discography.

Due for release on April 13th via his own imprint Alleviated Records, Cerebral Hemispheres features 18 pieces of music that allows the listener to fully immerse themselves and dig deep into Larry’s musical world. From shimmering ambience to deep soul to psychotropic electronics, shows, there's absolutely no danger of him slipping into a creative rut or formula. Created with quiet, focused dedication, and full of the full range of human experience and emotion, this music comes from the same place it always did more than three decades back in Chicago, which is why it will continue to provide a place of comfort and sanctuary for people around the world for a very long time to come.

The music itself is always what matters.
