Segue - Pacifica
Segue –aka Jordan Sauer- released his new DubTechno and Ambient album ‘Pacifica’ with the Canadian label Silent Season on the 2nd of February.
Segue -although comparatively less famous- is an exceptionally talented producer of the Dub and Ambient scene. His distinguishing feature is the use of sounds (which he records himself) from the urban as well as the natural environment. Another remarkable characteristic is the impressive variety of musical instruments he uses and the way he blends their sounds together.
‘Pacifica’, which consists of nine ambient tracks, is a journey through seasons and landscapes. ‘SnowDub’ and ‘Ocean’ excite our imagination creating images of dreamy places, whereas the melodies transmit feelings of serenity and sweet melancholy at the same time
‘Pacifica’ is undoubtedly one of the best DubTechno-Ambient albums of the past months. It’s a limited edition available only in CD.

Ο Segue -αν και σχετικά λιγότερο διάσημος- είναι ένας πάρα πολύ ταλαντούχος παραγωγός της Dub και Ambient σκηνής. Αυτό που τον κάνει να ξεχωρίζει είναι η συνήθειά του να ηχογραφεί και να χρησιμοποιεί στη μουσική του ήχους από το αστικό αλλά και το φυσικό περιβάλλον. Χαρακτηριστικό του είναι επίσης η εντυπωσιακή ποικιλία στα όργανα που χρησιμοποιεί, καθώς και ο τρόπος που συνδέει τους ήχους τους.
Τα εννέα κομμάτια που απαρτίζουν το album ‘Pacifica’ είναι απόλυτα ατμοσφαιρικά . Σε ταξιδεύουν στις τέσσερις εποχές, με το ‘SnowDub’ και το ‘Ocean’ να σου δημιουργούν εικόνες από μαγευτικά τοπία, και με τις μελωδίες να σου δίνουν μια αίσθηση γαλήνης αλλά ταυτόχρονα και γλυκιάς θλίψης.
Το ‘Pacifica’ είναι χωρίς αμφιβολία μία από τις καλύτερες DubTechno-Ambient κυκλοφορίες των τελευταίων μηνών. Κυκλοφόρησε στις 2 Φεβρουαρίου μόνο σε CD και σε περιορισμένο αριθμό.
