The small but well formed Not Another label is proud to present eight beautiful songs delivered by esteemed label newcomers Ilino, Feemarx, Rocko Garoni, Vini Pistori, Theo Fraga, Bayma, Canato and Kommodo on their latest Various Artists release entitled Outlook. It comes with fine artwork by Davi Leventhal, who represents a daring forecast of where humanity might see itself in the future, but musically offers a bright prospect for tomorrow.

Says the label “We all have our visions of the future. Some dare to chase their outlooks trying to bring them closer, choosing to embrace what is still to come instead of trying to postpone it. To look backwards, acting nostalgic, is a common feeling in the human nature. The beauty of what can never be relived. But looking forward, imagining, failing and developing is one of the most exciting experience of human life, one that we can not avoid.“

Things kick off with the broody deep house of Feemarx’s Hongg, the moodiness continues through Ilino’s The Emphasis and then Gui Canato sends shivers up the spine with his spooky Dancers Between Worlds. Offering fresh and inventive sounds throughout, the likes go Rocko Garoni get spooky with his remix of Meeting Point, Theo Fraga cooks up magically melodic and moving moods with The Alchemist and Kommodo’s Broken is a rippled with chilly keys and slick beats.

Then we are treated to the original of Meeting Point, which is a sumptuous groove with rumbling bass. Last but not least, this excellent and modern house compilation closes down with a bit and spacious house cut that really traps you under a cosmic spell. All in all this is a fine vision of the future of house music, then.
